Public Transport Security Conference
Two Day Conference - 13 - 14 November
Internationally agreed rules and standards applied globally guide the delivery of effective security for aviation and maritime transport networks, whereas this responsibility is devolved to national governments for uniquely complex and challenging public land transport networks.
Millions of people use our open public transport networks every day. Issues can range from relatively mundane anti-social behavior offences, through criminal activity impinging upon operational integrity, to acts of terrorism. This preeminent conference gathers distinguished experts together with the major public transport operators every year to assess the threats and risks. Through principal presentations by government entities, law enforcement personnel and industry practitioners, this event delivers a detailed understanding of the challenges faced and insight into real-world solutions to them.
The 2013 event featured Government agencies and trade organisations such as: CPNI, NaCTSO, DfT, British Transport Police, ATOC and London Fire Brigade – along with leading operators including: Network Rail, ProRail, and NewRail Research Hub.
